Against this backdrop, Uniper and Arcadia eFuels have signed one of Europe&#8217;s largest announced sustainable aviation fuel produced from renewable energy (eSAF) offtake agreements to date, supporting the development of new production capacity and helping establish a European market for sustainable aviation fuels.<\/p><p>The agreement was signed in D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany, in the presence of Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Deputy Minister-President, Anette Galskj\u00f8t, Consul General of the Kingdom of Denmark in Hamburg, Germany.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 500;\">Michael Lewis, Chief Executive Officer, Uniper:<\/span> \u201cAviation is one of the hardest sectors to decarbonise, and liquid fuels will remain essential for decades. The key challenge now is to move sustainable aviation fuels from promising projects to industrial scale. The agreement is legally binding, while the commencement of deliveries remains subject to agreed conditions precedent and the eSAF facility commencing commercial operations. The agreement marks a major commercial milestone for Arcadia eFuels, a leading developer and producer of Power-to-Liquid sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF), providing the certainty required to accelerate construction and commissioning of its flagship Project Endor in Vordingborg, Denmark.<\/p><p>For Uniper, the agreement represents an early strategic position in a market expected to grow rapidly over the coming decades. Sustainable aviation fuels are widely regarded as one of the few scalable pathways to reducing emissions from long-haul aviation.
