Arcadia eFuels Awarded $14.6 Million for Project ARC in Texas
In August of 2024, Arcadia eFuels was awarded a $14.6 million Fueling Aviation’s Sustainable Transition (FAST) Grant for Project ARC in Texas. This grant was part of approximately $300 million in awards for sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and technologies. Aiming to achieve net zero carbon emissions in aviation by 2050, the FAST program aligns strongly with Arcadia eFuel’s mission. Arcadia eFuels will use this grant to support the funding of the front-end engineering design of Project Arc which when operational will produce approximately 23.2M gallons of SAF.
FAST grant awardees include established and startup fuel producers, fuel logistics and supply chain companies, state and local governments, airport authorities, and universities. Established and startup engine, aircraft, and component manufacturers were also included in the list of recipients. These FAST grants will power 36 projects in 23 states across the country.
“This grant is a pivotal step toward scaling sustainable aviation fuel production in the U.S. and accelerating the transportation industry’s transition to net-zero emissions. Project ARC will demonstrate how renewable energy and proven technology can deliver meaningful impact, and we are honored to have the support of the FAST program in advancing this critical work,” says Amy Hebert, CEO at Arcadia eFuels.
