Its primary location is Europe but can be flexible for the right candidate.

Arcadia eFuels will produce eFuels, eDiesel & eSAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel), using renewable electricity and water to make Green Hydrogen and combine it with captured carbon dioxide then gas to liquids processing to produce the final fuels.
Arcadia eFuels is an innovative scale-up dedicated to transforming the aviation and long-haul shipping industry through the production of synthetic eFuels with a net zero carbon footprint. As a pre-revenue company, we are poised for rapid growth and expansion, with plans to establish manufacturing plants globally. At the development company level, we have successfully secured funding at the project entity level, our first project has received investor funding and a second project entity has received a government grant.
The Client Cost Engineer will be responsible for the comprehensive management of all cost-related aspects of a reimbursable FEED project within the energy transition sector. This role requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the project is executed efficiently, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will act as the primary interface between the client and project team on cost management matters, leveraging industry best practices to deliver value and maintain compliance with contractual and commercial requirements.
Cost Management and Oversight
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust cost control frameworks tailored to the specific needs of the reimbursable FEED project.
- Monitor and report on cost performance, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and reimbursable terms.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas requiring corrective action.
- Manage and oversee change control processes, evaluating cost implications and ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive cost estimates and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform regular forecasting and variance analysis to proactively identify potential cost overruns and risks.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to mitigate financial risks and optimize resource allocation.
Stakeholder Reporting and Communication
- Prepare and present accurate, detailed cost reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely communication of cost-related matters to clients, project teams, and senior management.
Risk and Value Management
- Identify, analyze, and manage cost-related risks, developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Assess opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and value optimization.
- Collaborate with project teams to align financial goals with technical and operational objectives.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration
- Support project management teams to ensure financial alignment across all project phases.
- Support contract negotiation and administration with a focus on cost and commercial implications.
- Ensure compliance with project-specific contractual obligations and industry standards.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or financing is preferable
Work Experience:
- Experience in cost management within the energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors, with a strong focus on reimbursable FEED projects.
- Proven track record in the energy sector, demonstrating the ability to manage complex, large-scale projects.
- Deep understanding of contractual frameworks, reimbursable commercial terms, and industry regulations.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cost management tools and software
- Expertise in preparing budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and financial models.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
Soft Skills:
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
Travel Requirements: up to 25% of time
